Dr. Hans-Georg Dettmer
WELTKULTURERBE RAMMELSBERG Museum & Besucherbergwerk
I studied Middle and Modern History, French and Historical Auxiliary Sciences in Göttingen and received my doctorate in Hannover. Since 1999 I have been working at the Rammelsberg, where I am primarily responsible for publications, the training and further education of managers as well as historical research.
In the run-up to the project, I selected those pits for a detailed investigation which promise a temporal and functional reference to the excavation findings from the excavation of the “Altes Lager“. Within the project I support the historian-colleague by professional exchange, accompanying archive research and consultation with the interpretation of rammelsberg-related archive records. I continuously communicate the function and history of project-relevant mine sites to the other project partners
