I studied prehistory and early history with archaeometry, classical archaeology and Slavonic studies at the Ruhr-University Bochum with a semester abroad at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. After my final thesis about the pottery of the pre-Roman iron age of the Saatental near Paderborn I worked on the archaeology of the Eurasian steppe and did my doctorate about the Bronze Age there. After four years at the Lower Saxony State Office for the Preservation of Monuments in Hanover, I moved to the Montanarchaeology office in Goslar in 2015, first as project manager for the World Heritage Upper Harz Water Management and since 2017 as consultant for Montanarchaeology.
As part of the BMBF project, I am responsible for the overall coordination of the project and the management of the archaeology section.
